Hello…I’m awkward…haha and I find writing about myself awkward as well. 😛 But here’s a little bit about me, I’m a mom of two boys they are 4 & 1. I’m a wife and I’ve been married for almost 7 years and together with my dude for 14 years. We have a crazy dog in the mix as well…our little Sophie. We live in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.
I made a decision almost two years ago that I was done hating myself, wishing for more, never feeling satisfied or fulfilled and that I was done working in jobs that I dreaded going to…I decided to stop sitting on the sidelines of my life & to take control. I was fed up with myself and who I was letting myself become. My head was a negative mess and I knew no one could change my story but me…
For me that meant taking control of my health and losing the weight I was hiding behind. trying to gain control of my emotional eating and actually deal with my feelings and jump into an opportunity wholeheartedly to try to really make a go at working for myself.
I am happy to say that I have achieved a lot of those goals! I now work for myself through the Beachbody Opportunity as a full time Coach and I am working hard again at getting my body back in shape after having my 2nd baby. I got into the best shape of my life losing over 50 lbs after my first baby and I’m determined to do it again!
I’m focusing more these days on self-love, self-acceptance and empowering myself to BE MYSELF…if that makes sense. I’m addicted to personal development books on auido, podcasts & am determined to master meditation & quieting my mind. (no easy feat…)
I started this journey to lose weight, I just wanted desperately to lose the weight I put on in my first pregnancy, but in just over 2 years it has turned into SO MUCH MORE.
I no longer define myself by gravitational pull to the earth…the number on the scale….instead I focus on all the positive ways in which my life is improving and appreciate what my body can do.
Fitness was my gateway to empowerment. It opened the door for me to understand that I am capable of SO much more than I was ever giving myself credit for before.
Building my physical strength went hand in hand with building internal strength, shifting my mindset & finding the inner power to keep going.
It also was the gateway through which I built my incredible lady tribe, my community and they are what light me up & help me understand how important & necessary it is to do this work.
The focus of what I do in my Challenge Groups & private support group is NOT quick fix weightloss, depriving yourself or punishing yourself for not having a thigh gap NO!
It is about becoming strong! Mentally, physically & emotionally. I don’t mean in a cold & shut off kind of way…to me, being brave & strong means having the courage to be vulnerable, to let your true self be seen, to have the confidence to share your whole heart & love yourself through it.
That’s the journey I’m on & I want you to come with me ☺️❤️ If you’re ready to end the war with yourself once & for all, want to connect with other amazing women doing the same, then I would love for you to join my Facebook Support Group Fight for Fit 🙂

I love coffee, chocolate, photography, music, rom-coms,popcorn, vintage/thrift store shopping among many other things…I swear a little too much and I love Strongbow cider and WINE…I have no problem being alone and sometimes need to convince myself that being around people and actually interacting in real life is a good idea lol. But I love connecting with people and helping others find their happiness, especially in learning to love themselves and empowering themselves to be their best selves…that’s my passion.
Nice to meet you! XO
